There are two great exercises you should know if you want to get a bigger butt. Both can be done at home, but to get faster and better results I recommend to exercise at your local gym. Two basic exercises, deadlifts and good mornings are definitely among the best exercises to shape your butt.

Deadlifts basically is lifting barbell or dumbbells from the ground, extending yourself and getting the weights back on the ground, or near the ground in a controlled manner. There are many different versions of deadlift and each of them workout your back, butt and hamstrings a little different. Usually the most recommended for shaping butt are single leg romanian deadlifts and straight leg deadlifts. Both of them work your hamstrings and butt the most.

The other good and still basic exercise is good mornings. The mechanics of the movement of this exercise is similar to deadlifts, but from a different angle. In good mornings you stand straight with a barbell on the back of your shoulders and bend your upper body from the hips, while keeping your back straight. When your upper body is near or is parallel with ground you extend yourself back up. This works out your back, butt muscles and hamstrings. At first it may feel a quite hard exercise to do, but after a while when you "get" how to do it, it will feel simple. Still it is definitely not an exercise for everybody, some just feel it is awkward to do. Still, good mornings are a great butt exercise.

To get better butt and more shape into it you need to workout your butt muscles and nothing does it better than special butt exercises. You just need to start exercising regularly.
