Everyone is so busy in today's world. We devote ourselves to the workplace, maintaining a four-star home front, kids and family responsibilities. This alone can be downright exhausting but more in a mental sense. Exhausted from the neck up we have little energy to worry about the shoulders down! Consistency is the word we need to keep in mind. Trying to fit all our exercise or fitness routines into the weekend is as dangerous as it is ineffective.

A few simple tips for daily exercise in the real world setting is what we need, whether it's walking, gardening or mowing the lawn. Exercise lowers blood pressure, a major risk for heart attack, stroke, aneurysms, and glaucoma. Exercise also helps bolster the immune system, increasing protection against everything from the common cold to cancer. No matter what condition your body is in, starting some sort of exercise routine right now will improve your health and the quality of your life! You will feel better physically as well as mentally.

Here are a few quick but very beneficial workouts and they only need to be 10 minute intervals:

1. Running in place -I f you run at a moderate pace, you can cover a mile or more in 10 minutes.

2. Jumping rope - A five minute session of outdoor jumping gives your cardiovascular system an invigorating workout.

3. Walking Your Dog - This is a great reason to get outside and walk but you can just as easily do this on your own too. Try to make some form of exercise a daily routine. Only you know what your schedule is so be creative and use your imagination but do something!
